Spa Etiquette: Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Spa Experience, Continued

A trip to a spa should be a relaxing, rejuvenating experience, but if you're unsure of spa etiquette, it can be anything but. This guide will teach you how to make reservations, how to tip, what to wear, and much more.

But bear in mind, each spa is unique, and you should always call ahead if you're unsure of anything. Also remember there are no "rules" when you go to a spa. Instead use these suggestions as a rough guideline to get the most out of your spa experience. For more information, visit our spa page.

This week we'll look at City (or Urban) Spas. In the weeks to come we will look at Connoisseur Spas, Destination Spas, Medical Spas, and Resort Spas.

City Hotel (or Urban Spas): spas located in and associated exclusively with hotels

Choose a City Hotel Spa when you are traveling, or when you wish to have a day spa experience with hotel amenities like a health club and a restaurant. Steam rooms, saunas, pools, exercise equipment, and fitness classes may also be offered. Located in metropolitan hotels, some of these spas are open only to hotel guests, while others are accessible to the general public.
